Started working at Bethesda Country Club as a seasonal “Director/Tennis Pro” in 1976. Over 48 years oversaw the growth and beautification of the Bethesda Country Club tennis facility to include 8 outdoor clay, 5 bubbled tennis courts, two outdoor pickleball courts and three paddle courts.

When Frank retired from Bethesda Country Club on December 31, 2024, the club honored Frank with a special ceremony where they unveiled the naming the BCC Racket Center as the “Frank C. Hatten Rackets Center”.

Frank is humbly grateful for having had the opportunity to serve the engaged, diverse membership at Bethesda Country Club for forty eight years.

Frank looks forward to sharing his love of tennis, his unique service orientation and his on court instruction/exercise programs with all tennis players in the DMV region. 

Frank Hatten was the Director of Rackets at the Bethesda Country Club from 1976-2024. Frank has been President of the Mid Atlantic Professional Tennis Association, President of the Mid Atlantic Tennis and Education Foundation, President of the Montgomery County Tennis Association, 2nd Vice President of USTA/MAS, Treasurer of the USTA/MidAtlantic Section,and a member of the USPTA/Mid Atlantic Tennis Hall of Fame.
